What is an invoice?

An invoice is a commercial document a seller issues to a buyer requesting payment for goods or services delivered. It lists the items, quantities, unit prices, taxes and the total amount due, along with payment terms and a due date. Everything you need to know

Is invoicing really free?
Yes. Creating, sending and tracking invoices is free forever on Paper & Pen. You only pay if you add optional modules like Inventory, HR or Accounting.
Can I invoice in any currency?
Yes. Choose any currency, including USD, EUR, GBP, INR, AED, SAR and OMR. Decimal places adjust automatically (for example three decimals for OMR).
Does it handle VAT or GST?
Yes. Set any tax rate per invoice or per line. GCC users get a configurable VAT preset, and the tax is always calculated on the amount after discounts.
How do clients pay me?
Send the invoice with a pay-online link and clients can pay by card or a local method in one tap. You can also record cash, bank transfer or cheque payments manually.
Can I send invoices over WhatsApp?
Yes. Share the invoice as a link or PDF straight to WhatsApp, or send it by email. Both keep the pay-online button so you get paid faster.
